Who are the beneficiaries?
The beneficiaries are divided into two categories based on their income. The subsidy percentage is formed depending on the income category they belong to, as well as their possible inclusion in special categories.
The special categories include:
Families with members facing disabilities or chronic/rare diseases are entitled to a high subsidy (80%) if they join the "Exoconomo 2025" program. Applications for the program began on January 8, 2025 and will be submitted until March 20, 2025.
"Families with a disabled member/members in the program are considered to be the applicant, or the spouse and dependent children (minimum acceptable disability rate of 67%, based on KEPA."
Conditions for inclusion in "Exoconomo 2025"
Beneficiaries are those who have a primary residence, whether they own it or rent it. For tenants, a lease with a remaining validity of at least seven years is required at the time of submitting the application.
Eligible expenses:
The application, monitoring of the implementation of the works, as well as the completion of the project, are made in collaboration with a Technical Advisor chosen by the beneficiaries. The projects must be completed within eight months from the date of approval of the application.
General requirements for residences:
The program "I Save 2025" does not impose income criteria, but the subsidy rate is determined by two income categories:
The subsidy rate can reach up to 100%, depending on the applicant's annual income. The maximum eligible budget for the works amounts to €35,000.00, while it is formed based on the square meters of the property and the percentage of energy savings achieved by the energy upgrade.
The owner's own participation can be covered either through a bank loan of 4-6 years with a subsidized interest rate (interest-free loan), or by cash payment. Income is calculated based on the 2023 tax return.
