Social tourism 2025: Until when can the application be made after the extension

Until today, Wednesday, May 14, beneficiaries will be able to submit an application for participation in the Social Tourism 2025-2026 program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA), after the two-day extension announced on Monday.
The program will start on June 1, 2025 - earlier than ever - and concerns 300,000 vouchers, with a budget of 50 million euros.
The voucher is a unique number for each beneficiary and beneficiary individually, who can spend up to six nights in accommodation, which they choose from the "Provider Register" of DYPA, after consultation with the provider, with a small private participation.
In particular, in Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes, up to 10 nights can be spent free of charge (zero private participation), while in the Municipalities of N. Evia and Evros, as well as in Thessaly, except for the Sporades, up to 12 nights can be spent free of charge.
The subsidy prices are increased by 20% for the peak month of August and for the Christmas (15/12/2025 to 14/01/2026) and Easter (03/04/2026 to 19/04/2026) periods.
The increased subsidy is valid all year round for accommodation B. Evia, Evros and Thessaly, except for the Sporades.
Subsidy also for ferry tickets
In addition to accommodation in tourist accommodations, ferry tickets are also subsidized. Participation amounts to 25%, while for disabled people, tickets are free.
The program also provides for special points for single parents and for disabled people and increased points for beneficiaries with lower incomes.
For disabled people, participation is possible every year, the right to an escort and zero private participation in ferry tickets, while no penalty is imposed on them if they do not use their vouchers.
For parents, increased points are provided for each minor child.
In addition, points are awarded to those who did not receive vouchers in the past or did not receive a voucher due to points awarded in the last two programs.
Beneficiaries are:
- employees with a dependent employment relationship under private law or
- insured in e-EFKA in their professional category, with contributions in favor of unemployment branch DYPA at any time from 01/01/2024 or
- unemployed with a continuous period of unemployment of at least three months on the date of the application deadline.
Family income cannot exceed 30,000 euros, while for the long-term unemployed (at least 12 months of unemployment) different income criteria apply, as described in the Public Invitation.
